The past week has seen a surge in novel coronavirus cases in the south-east of England, with some regions including the capital London experiencing an “exponential increase” in cases allegedly related to the country’s newly discovered novel Coronavirus mutation. This news not only alarmed the Public in The UK, but also disturbed people in other parts of the world that novel Coronavirus is developing a significant mutation that will spark a new and larger viral epidemic.

In response to a question at a press conference on 14 December, who said: ‘As far as we know, this mutation has not changed qualitatively, so it has not changed in terms of the spread of the disease.’
